Carolina Aircraft, Inc., established in 1991, specializes in the sale, brokerage and acquisition of "Prime Condition" airplanes. We buy, sell, and broker a wide variety of aircraft but are renowned for our expertise in Beechcraft Airplanes. In 2004 George Johnson and Tony Ryan decided to split the company in order to allow Carolina Aircraft, Inc. to focus specifically on our major niche selling “prime condition” Bonanzas and Barons. Carolina Corporate Jets, Inc. was formed to handle all Turbine and Jet Aircraft Sales. Carolina Aircraft, Inc. now specifically focuses on the sale of the following:

Carolina Aircraft, Inc. is home to "The Bonanza Man", George Johnson. Steve Assaid, was promoted to Sales Manager in 2006 and manages our team of six full-time professional Bonanza / Baron Sales Consultants. Whether you are buying from our current inventory or looking for a particular model, we will assist you in obtaining the "Best" airplane for your money. With our proven track record we can also assist you in the sale of your airplane. We want you as a long-term customer. Your repeat business is more important to us than just one sale.

Carolina Aircraft, Inc. has enjoyed exceptional growth and expects to complete construction on a new Sales and Marketing facility at the Piedmont Triad International Airport - GSO in 2007. We will have one of the nicest sales and service facilities in the USA. This will give us an Aircraft Showroom to display our “prime condition” aircraft. Our New “State of the Art” 32,000 sq. ft. facility will be shared with Causey Koury Aviation, Columbia Atlantic, LLC., Columbia Southeast, LLC., Columbia Resale,Inc., and Performance Aircraft Maintenance. This will further add to our competitive advantage in the aircraft resale marketplace.

Our experts have specialized selling primarily Beechcraft airplanes since 1977 and are experts in the pre-owned market! Our yearly sales volume has been as high as 52 transactions with a total dollar value of almost $37 Million Dollars.

As president of Carolina Aircraft, Inc., George Johnson brings over 30 years of Beechcraft sales experience to the company. He was one of the top Beechcraft salesmen in the country, earning numerous achievement awards such as: Salesman of the Year - 1984 (most new Beechcraft airplanes sold), 1987 (most new Beechcraft King Airs sold) and in 1986 (most new Beechcraft Bonanzas sold). George has a "Special Love" for Beechcraft Bonanzas and Barons. He is known worldwide as "The Bonanza Man" for his expertise in this market. If you plan to buy or sell a late model Bonanza or Baron, or just have a question, George is the man to call.

George holds a World and US Speed Record that he set in 1985 while flying a Beechcraft Baron 58. He earned his BA from Catawba College-Salisbury, NC and his MBA from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. He is president of Carolina Aircraft Leasing, Inc., an aircraft financing and leasing company.

George is the Co-founder of Carolina Corporate Jets, Inc., Columbia Resale, Inc. and Performance Aircraft Maintenance, LLC. He is founder of Columbia Atlantic, LLC., Columbia Southeast, LLC., Carolina Aircraft Leasing, Inc., and Carolina Aircraft Associates, Inc.

George retired from the Board of the Catawba College Alumni Association and is an active Adjunct Professor of Management at Catawba College teaching “Management of Small Business”. He is on the Aviation Advisory Board for Guilford Technical Institute. George is married with three children and is involved in various church and community activities.

George Johnson and Tony RyanTony Ryan handles all of our Turbine and Jet needs as president of our “Sister Company” Carolina Corporate Jets, Inc. Tony graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1983 with a Bachelors degree in Aviation and holds a FAA ATP Pilot Certificate with 2,600 hours of flight experience. Tony was the Sales Manager -Turbine Aircraft for Carolina Aircraft, Inc. from 1992 to 2002. He was recruited by another firm in 2002 to sell larger cabin class jets and has recently returned to NC to become president of Carolina Corporate Jets, Inc.

In addition to his previous piston-engine sales, Tony has been directly involved in over 100 jet and turbo-prop aircraft sales totaling over $200 million dollars in value. These transactions have included everyone from local aviation enthusiast to sports celebrities, Fortune 500 companies and international customers involving oversea travel. He is a major stockholder and investor in Carolina Corporate Jets and is responsible for the Sales, Marketing and Management of the company.

Tony has a genuine concern for his customer’s best interests, whether they are purchasing their first airplane or selling multiple aircraft. His professional goal is building long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and favorable referrals.

His background includes 8 years of real estate sales and management experience where he oversaw a staff of 25 and an annual operating budget of $700,000.

Tony is married and has four children. He enjoys traveling with his family, sports, boating and helping with his children’s team and church activities.
